Sustainability Consulting

Sustainable construction is among the more significant trends developing within the construction industry at this time.

Everyone understands the arguments underlying the concept of green building and for the most part pays lip service to it. The question that most frequently arises in context of sustainable construction is, “How much extra will this cost?”

In planning and executing a “green” project, it is essential that the design team be provided with reliable advice as to the cost effectiveness, both in capital and life-cycle terms, of the sustainable strategies under consideration.

A member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), Moss Construction Cost Management offers a full range of technical and strategic consultancy in support of environmentally friendly design and sustainable construction. With expertise grounded in actual project experience, you can rely on us to guide you toward the optimum green solution for your project.

LEEDTM Certification

The US Green Building Council LEED certification program is by far the widest accepted method of recognizing the environmentally friendly nature of your construction project.

The LEED standard is changing the way buildings are perceived, tenant space is classified and budgets are allocated.

To gain certification, the USGBC requires a project to be appropriately monitored and documented. This is best achieved through involvement of a LEED accredited professional – a person trained and USGBC certified in the LEED methodology.

Jonathan Moss, founder of Moss Construction Cost Management, is one of the only cost professionals in the country to have passed the USGBC LEED accreditation examination. His combined understanding of construction, its cost, and the LEED process make him an excellent addition to your project team.
